“Let’s talk about... um... ya know...”
Lots of learning and growth opportunities in Grooveland these days...
Question of the Month (QOTM) — Update: I’d like to know how many of you are playing along and keeping one powerful question top of mind for a whole month, so... if you’ve enjoyed QOTM to any extent, please email me at This Email Address and just write “Yes!” (I’ll know what you mean.) If you want to share details about your QOTM experience, follow the instructions at the end of the QOTM post.
Education: Next Generation — If you’re thinking about your kids’ educational needs and options, you can learn about a variety of possibilities through the free EdNextGen Online Conference, hosted by (my new friends) Jason and Cecilia Hilkey. They video-interviewed more than 25 experts and outside-the-box thinkers, including me, and it looks like they’re sharing my interview first — probably because we talked about the foundation of a good education: healthy partnerships between children and adults. The fun begins this coming Monday, May 23rd. To register for free, and see the full list of interviewees, including Peter Gray, Alfie Kohn, Naomi Aldort, Pat Farenga, Sura Hart, Jeremy Stuart, and many more...CLICK HERE.
Talking To Kids About Sex — I’m going to be interviewed for this online series hosted by sex educator Anya Manes. I was surprised when Anya invited me because I don’t write much about that topic, but she has other series guests who specialize in sexuality issues, and she wants to talk with me about my specialty — the partnership style of parenting — and how it relates to children’s formation of healthy sexual partnerships and open/honest communication about sexuality between parents and children, and between children and their (future) partners.
